Devojčica i pas na reci

Kako je devojčica prestala da se plaši pasa

Angela was a beloved girl in the neighborhood where she lived. All the children in the area loved to hang out with her because she was kind, imaginative, and selfless. With her around, children were never bored, so they happily went to her place, but also invited her to their homes and yards.

However, Angela had one problem. She couldn't leave her yard because she was very afraid of dogs. Whenever she saw a dog, she felt fear taking over her whole body. Her heart would start pounding, her eyes would fill with tears, and she would be out of breath. She didn't know why she was afraid of them. No dog had ever hurt her, not even barked at her, but the fear was still present

She knew that all her friends had dogs, and there were even those who freely walked the streets, so she didn't want to leave her yard or go to her friends' houses for that reason.

One day, the children came up with the idea to go to the nearby riverbank and play there. Although Angela wanted so much to be in nature, she opposed that decision because she was afraid they would meet a dog along the way. Her friends begged her relentlessly and finally convinced her to join them.

When they arrived at the riverbank, they noticed that there were many stones they could draw on. They liked to give each other their artistic creations, so they immediately went to collect as many as possible. They only chose stones of unusual shapes.

While Angela was collecting pebbles and imagining what to draw on which one, she didn't even notice that she had descended to the river itself. At one point, her foot slipped, and she fell into the water. She began to scream and call for help. The water was cold and deep, and she was still not a good swimmer. She waved her arms and legs, but she couldn't stay afloat.

The other kids panicked and didn't know what to do. They didn't dare approach her because they were afraid they would also fall in, and they didn't know how to swim either. One boy ran back to call for help, and the rest stood and watched in shock as Angela struggled to get out of the river.

At that moment, a big dog arrived on the shore. He heard the girl's scream and immediately ran over. He didn't think for a second whether to help the unknown girl who was struggling to get out of the river. He jumped into the water and bravely swam towards Angela. The water was fast and carried them downstream, so he had to work hard to reach the girl. While swimming, he came across a branch floating on the surface, so he began to push it in the direction of the girl.

When he reached Angela, she was so tired that she no longer felt the cold water or the fear of the dog. She instinctively grabbed onto a tree and let the dog pull her. Rex firmly grabbed the branch with his teeth and swam towards the shore.

Scared parents and other villagers ran towards them and called out to them. When the dog brought the exhausted girl to the shore, the parents helped them out. Tired, wet, and scared, they pulled themselves onto the shore. They stood there hugging each other, tears of joy streaming down their faces.

Anđela approached Rex and hugged him tightly. From that moment on, both the girl and the dog knew that their friendship was unbreakable and that they would always be there for each other. Rex took away all the fear Anđela had of dogs, and from that day on, she never parted from her best friend and protector.
